Hello to all my new followers!! 👋
It’s been a while since I did a blog post, sorry 😞 .
I have been rather busy behind the scenes…. I will share more with you later in the year 🥰🧶.
On Good Friday this year myself and the very talented Eleonora from Coastal Crochet took a trip by train 🚆 to London 🇬🇧 to attend a TOFT crochet 🧶 workshop at the National History Museum, we had exclusive access to the museum in the evening 🌃…. It’s was amazing, it was like one of my favourite films ‘ Night At The Museum” I so wanted the animals to come to life 😂😜.
Kerry Lord and the team at TOFT were wonderful, we were shown to our tables where we found our crochet kits 🧶.
The kit was to make Amit the Nubian Ibex, these are desert dwelling goats found in mountainous areas of Northern and Northeast Africa and the Middle East. 🐐
Amit was named after Amit Eshel, who took the amazing photo of 2 Nubian Ibex for the Wildlife Photographer of The Year Exhibition. What a stunning photo! 🖼️
Before we attended the evening class we did some sightseeing around London… the weather was glorious too! 🇬🇧☀️
We visited Buckingham Palace, Jubilee Gardens, St James’s Park, London Eye, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, National Art Gallery, China Town, The Ritz, Harrods, Fortnum & Mason & The Caviar House to name but a few…. Our little stroll was 11.26km … so not so little 😜 👟🗺️
The artwork at the National Art Gallery was breathtaking! 🖼️ I could spend all day in there!
We stopped at Fortnum & Mason to buy a few gifts for our loved ones, biscuits, tea and sweets 🍪🍬🫖.
After all that walking a well deserved lunch was in order…. So we went to a beautiful little restaurant for a burger 🍔…. Yum yum…. That certainly did the trick….
Then it was off to the Museum for the workshop. This was my first TOFT workshop, and I am happy to say I will definitely be doing that again in the future 🧶🥰.
All in all we had a wonderful day.
Then it was back on the tube and train home to Brighton 🚇🚆🏡.
I will do an update on my little Nubian Ibex soon….but I have completed him, I just need to take him somewhere nice for a photo shoot 📸🥰
Thank you all for reading. Happy crocheting 🧶🥰
We had a wonderful day didn’t we! Thanks so much for sharing it with me…. 🥰
